Step back into a decade of transformation. This exhibit captures a vivid snapshot of Hastings-on-Hudson during the 1960s—a time of both excitement and upheaval. Explore the development of community landmarks such as Hillside Elementary School, the town pool, and the Hastings Public Library.
Discover how residents responded to national and global movements—ranging from the Vietnam War and civil rights to women’s liberation and the growing environmental movement. The exhibit also highlights how trends in music, art, and fashion shaped daily life in our village during this unforgettable era.
You may view the exhibit when we are open on Mondays and Thursdays from 11:00am –2:00pm and the 1st Saturday of every month, Sept through June, from 2:00 – 4:00pm.
We are always closed on: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. We also welcome visitors by appointment by emailing us or calling us at 914-478-2249.
